Precision Industrial Machinist

Description of Duties:
- Fabricate, assemble, and process mechanical parts as required to meet specs
- Assist in the development of diagnostic and work-use tooling for repair
- Perform in-process inspections as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of machining and milling work
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on an individual basis in the machining process
- Understanding of manual and conversational-run lathes
- Understanding of manual and conversational-run tool room mills
- Ability to troubleshoot and read blueprints
- Ability to inspect machined components to specification requirements using precision measurement instruments
Industrial Mechanic

Description of Duties:
- Fabricate, assemble, and process electronic and mechanical parts as required to meet specs
- Inspect components and subassemblies
- Perform component failure analysis as required
- Perform in-process testing as needed
- Assembly and disassembly of machine tools (spindles, drives, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires good mechanical aptitude and assembly skills
- Ability to inspect components to specification requirements
- Perform in-process tests to support build process
- Capable of performing electrical operations
- Capable of performing soldering operations
- Troubleshoot and read schematics
- Must have a good understanding of the fundamentals of industrial mechanics
