Precision Industrial Grinder / Machinist
Description of Duties:
- Fabricate, assemble, and process mechanical parts as required to meet specs.
- Assist in the development of diagnostic and work-use tooling for repair.
- Perform in-process inspections as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of grinding, machining and milling work.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on an individual basis in the grinding and machining processes.
- Understanding of manual and conversational-run lathes.
- Understanding of manual and conversational-run tool room mills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and read blueprints.
- Ability to inspect machined components to specification requirements using precision measurement instruments.
- Maintain good concentration in order to obtain tight tolerances.
- Willingness to be flexible in work duties and be a team player.
